WEEK #11 - BAPTISM & Hail Storm!

A has been taking the lessons for 3 months. t was a really powerful testimony about the Plan of Salvation because of some very personal family things going on in his life right now. The bishop did both the baptism and confirmation, but I stood in on the confirmation After he was baptized I asked him how he was feeling and he said, "Clean. really clean!"

Hi everyone!! This week was the best!! 

I had my first baptism with my dear friend named A!! He is quite a dedicated boy! 

This week my brother sent me a super cool note! 

"Just a message for you from my class - In my positive psychology class we learned that in life it is more important to find Fulfillment than it is to be happy. Fulfillment is when you find meaning in life and you are working for that larger goal. A lot of people try very hard to be happy but it is impossible to always be happy. On your mission you are probably going through some hard times. My advice to you is to focus and study on the WHY. Focus on the doctrine  - focus on Christ. When you go through hard times - it will be better for you in the long run. It would not mean as much when our team won the RMLC championship if we had not worked so hard to do so! (We probably wouldn't have even won.) Use your strengths to serve others. When you do that (it is what the Savior did) you will find a lot more fulfillment. You won't necessarily always be "happy" but you can always go to sleep at night satisfied because you know what you are doing is right. " 

What a bro am I right? 

This week I am going to do my best to fulfill my goals and to reach out to others.

I have learned so much of myself by reaching out to others. I have found that as I converse with others and listen to their needs that I find some of my own needs and interests! Its really awesome to connect with other people through service! One of my best friends here in Peru, Ivan is expected to be baptized this week and I am so excited!!
