WEEK 23 - Transfer Week....Drum Roll Please...
For those who are not familiar with missionary life, every 6 weeks is what the missionaries call "TRANSFERS". It is a time when the Mission President makes changes within the entire mission. It involves moving missionaries from one place to another. Sometimes you stay and sometimes you go!! This week was transfers and Connor found out HE will be staying in Puno but his trainer, Elder Clobes, will be moving closer to Cusco to open a brand new area of the mission. So that means goodbyes and changes for both of them. Even though Connor is staying in Puno he will have a brand new companion by tomorrow. He had to take an 8 hour bus trip to Cusco (where the mission home is located) to pick up his new companion. We know he will have a brand new missionary as his new companion but at the time we were conversing, he didn't know any names. Stay tuned for news and updates next blog post!!
What Connor doesn't know is my little Facebook connections have allowed me to meet up - albeit a virtual meet up - with another Mom (Sunny Duron) who's son entered the MTC/CCM in Lima the 6 weeks after Connor. So basically the day Connor GOT to Cusco, Elder Duron was leaving Tuscon and headed to Lima to start his 2 year missionary training. Interesting how the circle of missionary life goes round and round!! So it's possible that Elder Duron could be Connor's new companion - there's a 25% chance since I know that there were only 4 new missionaries to head to the mission this transfer. I will be excited to find out who Connor will have as his new companion!!
In the meantime, this is Elder Clancy's latest letter!!

Hey everyone!!
This week is transfers! My companion/trainer will be going to Cusco opening a sector and I will be staying here in Puno with a brand new missionary! Losing my trainer and getting a trainee! Im super excited for this task coming up! I will find out who he is this week!! Thanks for the love and support :)
This last week with Elder Clobes was awesome. We have found a lot of new people to teach and people who are already progressing! It is such a blessing! This whole change has be tough with lessons but this past week we were able to teach as many lessons as we had the other 5 weeks!! Super fun! Elder Clobes and I had a blast and are both ready for our new tasks!
Sometimes in life we will receive tasks that we may feel like we are not ready for but God knows you better than you do and without a doubt he will help you through it! Im excited to struggle and learn a lot more Spanish these next 12 weeks!
Love yall tons!! Hope you have an awesome week :)

CONNOR: I had some problems with my gall bladder this week. They thought it was a rock, but turned out that it was only inflammation so no worries. I saw a doctor, got meds for the pain and the problem solved itself. All is well :) I'm off the meds and I feel fine. I killed everyone in Ping Pong and basketball today, so I'm completely normal ;)
MOM: How do you feel about the changes coming your way? You ok?
CONNOR: Yes ma'am, I will be training the next 2 changes... Kind of nervous but whatever. The Man above knows what he's doing ha ha.
CONNOR: Hermana Shyrlay is the best hahaha
CONNOR: You already did all your work, Momma. Now it's my job hahaha. My testimony is stronger than ever and we have some really great new investigators! Super excited :)
ME: How's your Spanish coming?
CONNOR: It's pretty amazing, honestly. Of course, not perfect, but I was thinking about the progression I've made :)
